Mr & Mrs Furey were visiting family in Abu Dhabi in February 2018 when the pipes in the ceiling of their single storey extension/garage conversion froze and then split. Water leaked from the pipes and spread throughout the ground floor damaging the ceilings, walls, carpets, laminate flooring, skirting boards and decorations.

Their son had been checking on the property daily whilst they were away and when he discovered the damage, his first step he took was to turn off the water at the stop tap, his second step was to contact Action Insurance Repair.

The Problem

Clients were out of the country as so couldn’t see/assess the damage first hand and they weren’t in a position to be arranging cleaning up work, emergency plumber and meeting people from the insurance company.

They had also just recently renovated their home after their youngest grandchildren had move abroad Mrs F finally felt that she could have new carpets instead of child friendly laminate downstairs. Mrs F particularly was upset that she couldn’t see the damage to her home but also that she didn’t want to see he home in a mess when she got back from her trip.

We introduced them to our independent Loss Assessor who reported the claim to their insurance company on their behalf and met with the insurance company’s Loss Adjuster. Mr&Mrs F extended their stay in Abu Dhabi and let us deal take care of the necessary arrangements to get the ball rolling with their claim

The loss assessor obtained approval to install equipment to start drying out the property and AIR sent a plumber ad electrician to deal with the emergency work.
